Dr. Md. Monirul Islam

Dr. Md. Monirul Islam has been working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy, State University of Bangladesh (SUB). He also served as an Associate Professor and Head of department at Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology before joining to SUB. He obtained his B. Sc. (Hons.) and M. Sc. Degrees from University of Rajshahi. Later on, he has achieved his Ph.D degree from the University of Tsukuba, Japan with Monbukagashu scholarship. He has expertise in synthesis and characterization of complex compounds using spectroscopic methods. In addition, his research interests are also extended to synthesis and characterization of biologically interesting compounds and evaluation of their pharmacological activities. So far, he has published more than 30 articles in peer reviewed scientific journals and attended several international conferences in Japan.
