MD Ashfaq Bin Arif is a lecturer in the Department of Architecture at the State University of Bangladesh. He earned his Master's (2021) in Architecture from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and his Bachelors (2018) from BUET. He has been teaching at the State University of Bangladesh since January 2022. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he has also been involved in a couple of research projects related to sustainability and housing. He worked as an architect at The Paper Architects for two years before his Master's studies. He was involved in the design of several projects which are now built in Dhaka city and its surrounding areas. MD Ashfaq Bin Arif is passionate about environmental conservation and is dedicated to inspiring and mentoring the next generation of architects regarding this consequential issue. He is also exploring the possibilities and threats of using AI as a tool in the education and practice of architecture. Outside of academia, he enjoys reading, traveling, cycling, photography, and architectural visualization.
