Inshira Afrose Setu joined the Department of Microbiology at State University of Bangladesh as a Lecturer in September 2026. Prior to her academic appointment, she worked as an Executive in the Quality Control Department of Beximco Pharmaceuticals PLC for six months.

She completed her B.S. in Microbiology at the University of Dhaka in 2022, securing fifth position in her class, followed by an M.S. in Microbiology from the same institution in 2023, securing third position. Her primary research interests lie in investigating emerging antibiotic resistance and multidrug-resistant pathogens in Bangladesh. Her research endeavors are reflected in her publication of an original research article in a reputable international peer-reviewed journal, demonstrating her strong commitment to scientific inquiry and her enthusiasm for advancing microbiological research
