Md Saeed Siddik is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), University of Dhaka, where he has taught since 2015 (Lecturer from November 2015, Assistant Professor from July 2019). He is a faculty member and researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering, with more than 10 years of experience in teaching, research and industry practice. His work focuses on how Artificial Intelligence can enhance the development, analysis and quality of data and software systems. He completed his second master’s degree, an M.Sc. in Software Engineering and Intelligent Systems, at the University of Alberta, Canada (April 2025, CGPA 3.70/4.00), supported by the Alberta Innovates Graduate Fellowship. His graduate research, supervised by Dr. Cor-Paul Bezemer, centered on improving software data analytics in computational notebooks. He earned both his BSSE (2013) and MSSE (2015) at IIT, University of Dhaka, finishing first in his class each time, and received the IIT Academic Excellence Gold Medal in 2015. He has published in international journals and conferences, has led and consulted on multiple funded research and software projects (UGC, IFAD, HEQEP and others), and worked briefly as a Software Engineer at Orion Informatics Ltd in 2015.
