Md Fahim Khalid,
PhD, is a biotechnology researcher and currently serves as the Deputy Director,
Research and Publication, at the State University of Bangladesh. In this role,
he is involved in advancing the university’s research and publication
activities, fostering a research-oriented academic environment, and supporting
initiatives for research development and scholarly communication. Dr Khalid
received his PhD in Biotechnology in 2026 from the Faculty of Life Sciences and
Biotechnology, South Asian University (SAU), New Delhi, India. His doctoral
research focused on the development of an affinity-matured humanized antibody
against the Dengue virus. He completed his MSc in Biotechnology in 2019 from
SAU and his BSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2016 from the
University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. His research expertise includes antibody
engineering, protein engineering, recombinant protein expression and
purification, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation, structural
bioinformatics, enzyme kinetics, and protein–protein interaction studies. His
research has primarily focused on antibody development against the dengue virus
and the functional characterisation and engineering of recombinant proteins. He
has published research articles in internationally recognised journals,
including the Journal of Biological Chemistry, BMC Infectious Diseases, Applied
Biochemistry and Biotechnology, and Journal of Genetic Engineering and
Biotechnology. Beyond research, Dr Khalid has experience in research mentoring,
scientific training, conference presentations, and coordinating international
scientific workshops. His current academic interests encompass antibody and
vaccine development, protein engineering, structural biology, computational
biology, molecular simulation, and translational biotechnology.
