Most. Tasminara Akhi is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy at State University of Bangladesh. She earned her Bachelor of Pharmacy (Professional) degree from the University of Dhaka with a CGPA of 3.82. She subsequently completed her Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm.) in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology from the University of Dhaka, achieving a GPA of 3.69.

She was awarded the prestigious National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship 2022–2023 by the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in recognition of her Master's thesis research.

Before joining academia,  Akhi worked for 3 years and 1 month in the Research and Development (R&D) Department of Radiant Pharmaceuticals Ltd., where she gained extensive industrial experience in pharmaceutical formulation and product development. Her key responsibilities included the formulation and development of solid dosage forms, powders for suspension, controlled-release dosage forms, enteric-coated formulations, capsules, and coated tablets. She was actively involved in manufacturing process development, process optimization, drug–excipient compatibility studies, reformulation and troubleshooting of existing products, laboratory instrument performance qualification, preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory documentation. She is proficient in operating a wide range of pharmaceutical manufacturing and analytical equipment for formulation development and scale-up activities.

Akhi's research and professional interests include pharmaceutical formulation development, novel drug delivery systems, process optimization, quality by design (QbD), pharmaceutical technology, and regulatory science. She is committed to integrating industrial expertise with academic teaching and research to contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical education and innovation.
