Md. Shakhawat Hossain joined the Department of Pharmacy at State University of Bangladesh (SUB) as a Lecturer on July 8, 2026. He obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) from the Department of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka, and his Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, University of Dhaka. His master's thesis, titled "Computational Screening and Lead Identification for Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus Inhibition: A Multi-Target In Silico Approach," earned him the prestigious National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship (2024), awarded by the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. He is a registered A-grade Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh, reflecting his professional competence and authorization to practice. His academic training is complemented by industrial training at DBL Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and hospital training at Dhaka Medical College (DMC), providing him with valuable exposure to both pharmaceutical manufacturing and clinical practice. His research interests include computer-aided drug design (CADD), nanotechnology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, and formulation development.
