Mr. Md. Mahbubul Hoque has been a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy at the State University of Bangladesh since March 2022. He completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) in Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Dhaka. Before joining the academia, he worked for about six months as a Product Executive in the Product Management Department (PMD) at ACI Pharmaceuticals Ltd. In 2020, he received the National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of Bangladesh, to support his graduate thesis research. His research focuses on pharmaceutics, cancer cell biology, microbiology, and biomedical sciences. Currently, he is studying the anti-microbial effects of traditional plants and essential oils. Mr. Hoque has also worked as a Teaching Assistant (TA) and Research Assistant (RA) at the University of Louisiana Monroe, USA. There, his research focused on reversing cisplatin resistance in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell lines by targeting microRNA. He is currently working as B. Pharm coordinator also.
