Mr. Md. Shafiul Hossen has been holding the position of Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy, State University of Bangladesh since 16 July 2024. He has completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) and Master of Pharmacy in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology from Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU). He has previously worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy at Stamford University Bangladesh and Southern University Bangladesh. He has also 2.4 years of work experience in Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Salna, Gazipur as an Analytical Development Executive at the Research & Development Department. He was awarded the National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship (2020) by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, for his graduate thesis research. He also obtained the grant allocated for the Research and Development (R & D) project (2023-2024) under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, for one of his research works. His research interests include pharmacogenomics and public health. He is doing research in the field of pharmacogenomics to identify the relationship of genetic variations with cancer, preeclampsia, and other genetic disorders. He is also working in the public health sector to determine underlying risk factors of common diseases in Bangladesh, particularly mental health issues.
