Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim, RPh

Professor Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim has Joined in the Department of Pharmacy of State University of Bangladesh on September 14, 2023 (Thursday). Before joining here, Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim has been serving as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacy at Southern University Bangladesh nearly 8 years. He was the first founding faculty member in the Department of Pharmacy of Southern University Bangladesh and his total teaching experience is about 18 years of that university (from 25 October 2005 to 13th September 2023). Dr. Ibrahim has been working with full devotion and strength for the progressive and sustainable development of various departments. He was playing the responsibility of Head/Coordinator of Department of Pharmacy in different universities, as well as he is involved in several administrative works of the university as a member of Academic Council and Syndicate, Planning & Development Committee, Library Committee, Central Research Cell and Extension Committee, Convener of different committees of Convocation, Head of SA Committee of IQAC, Purchase Committee, so on and also playing the role of an organizer in different extra and co-curricular activities in the university. Moreover, he has got first divisions/classes in all of his academic examinations with positions including both of B. Pharm and M. Pharm degrees. He received Ph.D. from the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka and started his career by manufacturing pharmaceuticals products in different pharmaceuticals companies. Dr. Ibrahim has gathered experiences as ‘Production Officer’ in ADCO Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals Limited [14th October 2002 to 1st June 2004] and as a ‘Quality Assurance Officer’ in INCEPTA Pharmaceuticals Limited [1st June 2004 to 24th October 2005]. Besides, he has got 50 (Fifty) publications in different reputed national and international journals. In addition, Professor Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim has attended multiple international as well as national conferences too which have paved the way for him to the realm of infinite knowledge.

Participated in the 3rd Indian National Seminar on “Plants in diabetes: Prospects & challenges” and presented a paper entitled “Preliminary Phytochemical and Pharmacological Investigations of Alpinia conchigera Griff. and Plumbago indica L” jointly organized by Asian Network of Research on Antidiabetic plants (ANRAP), Department of Pharmacology, RG Kar Medical College and Indian Pharmacological Society in Kolkata, India on 14-16 September 2012.
  3. Participated in the 2nd Indian National Seminar on “Plants in diabetes: Prospects & challenges” and presented a poster entitled “Preliminary Antimicrobial, Cytotoxic and Chemical Investigations of Averrhoa bilimbi Linn. and Ziziphus mauritiana Lam. which held in Guwahati University, Assam, India on 08-09 April 2011. This seminar is jointly organized by ‘Asian Network of Research on Anti-diabetic Plant’ (ANRAP) and ‘North East Institute of Science and Technology’ (NEIST), India.
