Mst. Ema Parvin works as a Lecturer in the Department of Food Engineering and Nutrition Science at State University of Bangladesh. She completed her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Food and Process Engineering and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Food Processing and Preservation from Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University. She undertook a 45-day internship training on agro-processing, preservation and marketing at Rural Development Academy. With practical field experience, she served as a survey enumerator for the JANO (Joint Action for Nutritional Outcome) project under CARE Bangladesh, assessing rural markets for fortified and nutritious products. Before joining the current position, she was actively involved in mentoring undergraduate research students working under her supervisor. Her research focuses on value-added food product development, food processing and preservation, food safety and quality, nutritional retention, and microbial assessment. She has technical expertise in product formulation, food processing and preservation techniques, and microbiological analysis.
