Dr. Sm Faysal Bellah

Dr. Sm Faysal Bellah has joined in the Department of Pharmacy of State University of Bangladesh (SUB) on July 08, 2024. Before joining at State University of Bangladesh, Dr. Bellah has been serving as an Assistant Professor of the Department of Pharmacy at Manarat International University, Bangladesh from April, 2013 to June, 2024. Dr. Bellah was also working as a Senior Quality Control Officer from 06 June, 2007 to 22 April, 2013 at Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (FDA approved plant, Track-II) one of best pharmaceutical company in Bangladesh. Dr. Bellah has completed his Bachelor of Pharmacy Hon’s from Pharmacy Discipline, Life Science School, Khulna University, Khulna, Bangladesh with an outstanding result (CGPA 4.0 out of 4.0) which earned him first class first position. He has also completed the Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.) degree in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh. His M. Phil. thesis work entitled “CYP3A4 and CYP3A5 Genetic Polymorphisms and Risk of Prostate Cancer”. He was awarded the Merit Scholarship both Bachelor of Pharmacy Hon’s and Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.) degree. He was also awarded a prestigious scholarship from “CAS-TWAS President’s Fellowship Programme” at the University of Science and Technology of China, China for his Doctoral (Ph.D.) program. His Ph.D. thesis work entitled “Molecular delineation of PLK1-elicited ZW10 function in mitosis”. He is registered as an A-Grade Pharmacist by the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh. He is skilled in PCR machine, Alpha Innotech Imager, UPLC, GC, HPLC, AAS, FTIR, Plume geometry and Spray Patern Analysizer, Delta Vision Microscope. He has been doing research work in the field of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Pharmacogenomics, Cell Biology and Cancer Biology. He participated the poster presentation in the Proceedings of the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) Special Conference: Prostate Cancer: Advances in Basic, Translational, and Clinical Research; 2017 Dec 2-5; Orlando, Florida. So far, he has published more than 30 articles in peer reviewed scientific journals as a first and co-authors and attended several international conferences in China. Dr. Bellah has been serving as a member of the reviewer of an international peer reviewed journal Heliyon (science citation index, scopus, pubmed indexing journal).
