Israt Jahan is a lecturer in the Department of English Studies at the State University of Bangladesh. She holds an M.A. in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching (ELT) and a B.A. in English Literature, both from the University of Dhaka. She aims to build her career in teaching Applied Linguistics and ELT. Her primary research interest lies in teaching speaking skills. Additionally, she seeks to enhance her expertise in learning methodologies, syllabus and curriculum design, and the development of culturally and contextually relevant materials. She is particularly interested in fostering classroom interactions that challenge traditional norms. Israt is also passionate about teaching the four language skills through literature and nurturing students' creative writing abilities.
