Dr. Rakia Ishra is a distinguished public health expert and an Assistant Professor at SUB. With an impressive academic background, including a Ph.D. from the University of Southern Queensland and a Master of Medical Research from Griffith University in Australia, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as an Assistant Professor at SUB. After earning her MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College in Bangladesh, she dedicated herself to improving the lives of impoverished women and children in her home country. In addition to her role at SUB, she is an adjunct researcher at BSMMU. Dr. Ishra's research expertise spans a wide range of areas, including communicable and non-communicable diseases, food safety, women's and child health, and family planning. She has an impressive publication record in high-impact journals and is passionate about exchanging knowledge with young researchers. Beyond her academic pursuits, Dr. Ishra is also a proud mother of three talented daughters who are members of the popular rock band ASEIS, where she contributes as a lyricist and musician.
