Academic Journey on Constitutionalism and Democracy: Law Dept. Visits Parliament
The Department of Law, State University of Bangladesh, organized an educational visit titled โ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐๐ฒ ๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐จ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฒ.โ As part of this initiative, students had the opportunity to visit the National Parliament House of Bangladesh and gain practical experience of the functioning of Bangladeshโs constitutional and democratic institutions. The visit was led by Assistant Professor Jinat Amin, Assistant Professor Nazia Rahman, Lecturer Mohammad Shamim Usman, and Lecturer Mohammad Tawhidul Islam.
The students visited the Parliament Library and learned about the research and information services that support legislative and parliamentary activities. They also observed a live parliamentary session, including discussions on the national budget for the fiscal year 2025โ26, parliamentary debates, and the practical workings of National Parliament House.
The educational journey enabled students to connect their classroom knowledge with real-world practices. Through direct observation, they developed a clear understanding of the legislative process and the role of Parliament in democratic governance.
Such educational initiatives play a vital role in developing informed and responsible citizens. The State University of Bangladesh remains committed to providing meaningful learning opportunities that integrate academic knowledge with practical experience.
