Dr. Sajid Bin Doza born in Rajshahi. The historical monuments of the northern part of Bengal have been a great inspiration for his sketching works since that not only made him wish to be an architect but helped him to create the artistic works in painting, cartooning, and clay modeling, that have won him several awards at home and abroad. Within the framework of his studies and research, Dr. Sajid organized nine solo exhibitions at home and abroad showing his sketches and drawings on the cultural heritage of Bangladesh. Following the exhibition he published several books on the cultural heritage of the country. He completed his Bachelor of Architecture (B. ARCH) in Architecture Discipline at the University of Khulna in 1999. He obtained his Master of Architecture (M. ARCH) degree from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2008. Afterward in 2009-2010, received a grant from Swedish International Development Authority (SIDA) for the International Advance Training program and Post Graduate Diploma on Shelter Design and Development conducted by the LUND University Sweden. Further, he achieved a European Union scholarship and accomplished his Ph.D. in History of Art at the University of Évora, Portugal, in 2016. Since 2009, he was a faculty member of the Department of Architecture at the BRAC University of Bangladesh and an Associate Professor of Art and Architecture in the same department. In the last twelve years, Dr. Sajid has organized an architectural heritage tour in the Northern part of Bangladesh for enthusiastic students and learners. Here and now Professor Dr. Sajid is the Dean of the School of Science & Technology and Head of the Department of Architecture at the State University of Bangladesh.
